Mariposa Elementary School will be running for Terry again this year. Our kick-off assembly plans are underway and will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 2:45.
Students will be runnning on Friday, September 27 starting at 1:00.
As we prepare for this year’s Terry Fox School Run, we wanted to share some key details and reminders with you:
📅 Date: Friday, September 27, 2024
- Kindergarten to Grade 3: Our younger students will run around the perimeter of the school’s property. Mariposa has such a beautiful playground for this event.
- Grades 4-8: Our students will run the Rail Trail. Please look for a permission form that will be sent home shortly.
🛑 Important Reminder:
The last day to order your Terry Fox t-shirts through School Cash Online is Wednesday, September 18, 2024, by 7:00 PM. You can place your orders here: https://tldsb.schoolcashonline.com/
🌟 Our School’s Impact:
Last year, we raised an incredible $7,163.60 for cancer research. This year marks the 23rd Terry Fox Run for Mariposa Elementary, and to date, our school has raised $132,826.53—a remarkable achievement!
Our goal this year is to raise $7,500. Let’s continue to honour Terry’s legacy and contribute to cancer research.
