Candy-grams are for sale, $2 each, in the lobby 2nd lunch Mon Feb 9 to Wed Feb 11th. All money raised goes to the Humane Society. Thank you very much for your generous support! Candy-grams will be delivered to classes on Friday Feb 13th.  Happy Valentine’s Day!Â
Hot Lunches
New Hot Lunch Vendor Alert!! A&W will be joining us on Friday’s, starting February 13th. We are going to trial the items available and may adjust them depending on feedback.  Please place your orders through school cash online. As a reminder, all orders for the week, must be placed by noon on the Sunday.
Chess Club
Mrs Beer will be running a chess club on Thursdays. If anyone has extra chess sets they are willing to part with, we would be grateful for your donation. Thank you!
Speeches
Students are working hard to complete and present their speeches for their classrooms. A lot of hard work has gone into them, so be sure to check with your child if they can practice with you at home.
Basketball
Intermediate boys basketball tryouts started this week. Please make sure your kids have proper footwear. Tryouts will be happening for the month of February. We are scheduled right now for two times a week. There will be a potential clinic run after school. More information on that is to follow.
Kindergarten Registration

Grade 8 grad fundraiser
The countdown to the Blue Mountains is on! Our Grade 8 class is working hard to fund their year-end graduation trip, and we need your support. We are selling JD Sweid’s famous chicken products—perfect for busy weeknight dinners or summer grilling. Your purchase helps provide our students with an unforgettable experience of team-building and celebration before they head off to high school. Please use school cash online to make your purchase.
Skiing and Snowboarding
On February 26th we are heading to Dagmar Ski Resort. This is an after school activity. Students will leave from school at 3:30pm and be back at 9:30pm. Parents must arrange for pick up. Please note this is for grade 6-8 only. Permission forms will go out next week. Contact Mrs Beer for more information. [email protected]
Intermediate Phys Ed
Please make sure your child’s indoor shoes are here for phys ed classes. Students are unable to participate in sock feet or boots; they need to have running shoes.
Intermediate Skating and Sledding
Please make sure to fill out forms as soon as possible. This trip is happening on February 13th. Students will need skates and helmets, we do have equipment that we are able to lend.
